Migration Strategy and Migration Methods applied during our data migration effort – Our migration activities included being involved in preparation of plans and checklist for data migration from legacy to the new system specifying plans and programs. We were also involved in creating testing approach documentation and success criteria for migration. To support our customers, we:

Analyzed the business system, understood the requirements, gathered technical requirements, and suggested, and implemented, the best SAP methodologies. We also analyzed the data and its impacts and provided suggestions for cleansing and rationalization.

Migrated master data of the following entities: General Ledger segments, trading partners (both customers & suppliers), cost element, Cost Center, Profit center, orders, and fixed assets.

Migrated the balances for the following elements: GL Open and non-Open items , Customer, Vendor, Fixed Assets, Cost Center, Profit center, WBS, Order, Migration of Revenue Items relating to COPA.

Loaded data into SAP tables, after analyzing the tables and their structure, using various tools testing and validation and worked closely with the customer for reconciliation.

Were also involved in the migration of the following elements of general ledgers items: general ledger customizations, defining ledger groups, parallel ledgers, accounting principle, activating business functions, defining ledgers for CO versions.
