SAP BPC application - “Flow that Rolls”

One of our client’s entire business activities are completely based on their operating cash flow. They wanted our consultant to create a model with which they could consistently keep a check on their operating activities regularly. We introduced the client to SAP BPC application. The client was happy to see a tool that not only gave a solution to their analytics problem but also helped in consolidation of their accounts easily.
Rolling forecast feature was maintained in the BPC application which enabled the client to have a control on the operational cash flow. The first six months was fixed as Actual and the next six months was marked as forecast/plan. When the user selects the 8th month, the first 7 months would become the actual and the rest of the months would become forecast/plan.
With the rolling of the months the operating cash flow can be generated with a click at any time.
